The Peaceful Prayers Podcast
Welcome! In each episode I will read aloud a prayer from my book, Prayers for Stress Anxiety and Depression. The goal of this podcast is to center your mind on Christ and to silence the voices of doubt and destruction that are keeping you from rest. I was motivated to write this book after a challenging season in my life. At the time, I was writing personal prayers for my loved ones. After I learned how many people were going through the same things I was, I started to collect the prayers and craft what is today the Prayers For Stress, Anxiety, And Depression book. I hope this book brings you closer to God. Thank you for joining me! Remember, this book or podcast is not a cure for depression or anxiety. If you are in need of medical help seek it immediately.

I pray that you have the faith to hand your failures, broken places, and dirty pieces to God today. May you fully surrender to His will and see what a beautiful masterpiece He will make with the ashes. 2 Corinthians 12:9 "...My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness..."
What would happen if we changed our mindset about failure? What if we stopped seeing failure as holes in the walls we place around ourselves, but as holes that God's perfect light can shine through?
I see a beautiful stained glass window. Each piece of glass was tested by fire and has its own shape and color. It is the specific properties and experiences of each piece of glass that give it the radiance we think of when we consider stained glass.
We, like each piece of glass, may feel insignificant and different from those around us. Though when we back up and see the whole picture, with the light shining through, we can see such beauty. Think of the stunning scenes of Jesus' life depicted with many little pieces of glass and how overwhelmingly perfect it all seems together.
May you let God's light shine through you and your failures to bring to life a breathtaking scene.
Blessings!

Today is our last prayer on the topic of change, tomorrow we start the prayers regarding failure. Our God makes beauty from ashes and his strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. He is eager to redeem what we consider "failures." I'm excited to get into the next topic with you all!

In James 1:17 God is called the "Father of lights." It is my favorite name for God. Although this prayer is about navigating a change, James 1:17 describes God as having "no variation, nor turning shadow." How wonderful that even though everything around us may change, we serve and are loved by the Lord who never does. How precious it is to have the Father of lights prepare a place for us. Blessings!

I hope that you find a community of people who love Christ, and encourage your walk with Him if you don't already have one. May you yourself be an encouragement to those around you and bring more of God's love and light into the world. Blessings!

I pray that you remember all of the times our God has been faithful, and you become moved to worship. Nothing changes a situation like some prayer and worship.
